  Celebrating Christmas Amidst Covid-19 at Vigan City. Christmas is a joyous occasion for everyone, young and adult alike. We celebrate the festivities oftentimes with our loved ones. It is the time of the year that we get the chance to be with them and just the thought of it makes us excited. We commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ by attending Misa De Gallo that starts on the 16 th of December. St. Paul Cathedral is always placed with church goers, but during this time of pandemic we have to observe physical distancing inside the church as well as outside to avoid the spread of COVID-19 virus. Celebrating Christmas in Vigan during this time of pandemic is far different from how we used to. Christmas parties at public places is prohibited, we used to exchange gifts with our families, friends, and classmates but now during this time of COVID-19, we are not allowed to do so.   As we move on to third grading, I can say that I learned a lot from the second grading and gained knowledge on different topics in ICT. Information about HTML, what are the things you need to know in order to do the activities correctly. I found these lessons challenging, but I was able to cope up. There were bumps and problems that I encountered, but I was able to pull through. So, I will strive harder and be more focused as we move on to the next grading period. I know that I can still improve myself and try not to settle for less.          Vigan City town fiesta is being celebrated every year. It has always been a week-long celebration with lots of fun activities for kids and adults. It is a much awaited time of the year. Carnivals are being set up a few weeks before the celebration for everyone to enjoy. People with different walks of life come to Vigan and join the festivities. Every night, the week before the town fiesta, there are different events being held in connection with the celebration. There are also competitions such as street dancing, carabao parade, beauty pageant, and many more activities where we can showcase our talents and abilities. All of these have been on hold, because of the COVID-19 Pandemic.  It’s already been 2 years now since the celebration and activities we used to experience were stopped.   New Beginning As this year 2021 ends, I’d like to assess myself and thank this year for all the lessons I’ve learned., as well as to do everything I can to change and to correct myself. I know I have a lot of flaws that needs to be corrected, as I approach the New Year, I would like to be a better me. It may be hard and it will take a long ride, but I will do my best in order to make this happen. I will build lots of good memories with my family and friends, to keep them all in my heart, to cherished, and remembered. I hope that I will be able to do these things in 2022. It may be hard, but I know it will be all worth it. I will keep myself motivated and focused on the things that I really want to change and achieve. With the help of my love ones, I know I can do it.   Celebrating Christmas this pandemic may be different from how we use to celebrate it. There are so many protocols to follow and in doing so, it is a bit hard for us to enjoy with our family, friends, and all loved ones. Many things have changed since this Covid-19 came to our life.   However, this must not keep us from honoring the birth of our savior Jesus Christ. This is a very significant for us Christians. There are many ways to enjoy the festive season and to show our love to our family and friends. We just have to be creative. Let us remember the true meaning of Christmas.   Let Us Unite, Together We Fight It’s nice how the Department of Education  thought of this theme “ New Normal na Walang Iwanan: Karapatan ng Bawat Bata Ating Tutukan”. It covers all the issues and problems regarding children’s rights.  DepEd’s aim is to promote and to assure that we children are free and must have all the rights and protection we need. Due to this pandemic, our lives were greatly affected, especially us children. Many changes occurred in our society and daily life. We never get the chance to enjoy ourselves, because there is a limit due to the rules and protocols that are implemented by the government. Indeed Covid-19 brought a huge challenge to everyone. The new way of learning, the new normal, has brought a huge problem, especially to those who can’t cope up because of lack of resources and financial problems. This might affect their future.   It seems that we humans take no notice of how important our environment is. The environment provides many benefit to us. Other people damaging, making chaos, destroying things, etc. which has greatly affected our environment. Imagine those illegal things they did, we lost many resources. We have to unite, in order to bring back the green environment. We must not hurt our Mother Earth. There are many ways and means of protecting our environment; some of these are conserving energy by limiting the usage of electricity, fuel, and such. Reforestation would be a big help, to prevent flood and land erosions, so we must plant more trees. Proper disposal of garbage, we can do this by segregating degradable, biodegradable, and recyclable garbage. Join programs/projects that is connected in environment rehabilitation.
