  As we all know, in our society, women is treated very poorly. Most of the time, women are not given any part or role to play the decision-maker role in many professions. Women, like men, have an important role to play in our community and society. As a citizen who is part of our society, I believe that our town will lift, if everyone’s mentality is equal for all. In today’s era, women are more focused. They are given different roles in our society. They are able to show their talent and ability, so that they can serve our people. Through the roles they play, they are given importance and they are able to express themselves better. Women deserves to be acknowledged by their contribution to the economic sphere and create more opportunities for them.   I can say that I learned a lot this third quarter and I gained knowledge on different topics in ICT. Information about Community based research, what are the things you need to know in order to do the activities correctly. I found these lessons challenging, but thankfully I was able to cope up. There were bumps and problems that I encountered, but I was able to pull through. So, I will strive harder and be more focused as we move on to the next grading period. I know that I can still improve myself and try not to settle for less. It might be hard and challenges will keep coming, these are inevitable, but by working hard I know that I can overcome these problems. I will develop the knowledge I gained in this quarter and continue to work hard. I am looking forward for the next and final quarter, to discover and learn new things that surely will help me to achieve my goal and lead me to the right path.   Blood and Tears for the Philippines. The Day of Valor or “Araw ng Kagitingan” is celebrated every 9 th of  April, it commemorates about the Fall of Bataan in World War II. Back in 1942, t he Filipino soldiers and American forces had a wrathful war from January to April of the said year. April 9, 1942 marked the start of the Bataan Death March . Thousands of Filipino soldiers were taken down because of this war. Those brave soldiers sacrificed their lives in order to protect Bataan, Philippines rather. They are the ones who stood and protected our country from the American invaders. Because of them, we are freed from the Americans who tried to colonize our country and take over our government. There selfless love towards our country and to our fellow countrymen gave their courage and strength to stand and fight for us to achieve our freedom. It is the time where people recall Jesus Christ’s passion, suffering, death, and resurrection for the sake of our redemption from our sins.   The Value of Kannawidan Festival to Ilocanos Kannawidan Festival is an annual event being held usually every month of February celebrated by Ilocosurians. There are a lot of activities being done. This weeklong festival showcases, indigenous performances, religious rituals, food demos and trades, display of beauty and talent from different municipality of Ilocos Sur. It is very an important festival for us Ilocanos due to Kannawidan commemorates the separation of two provinces, Ilocos Sur and Ilocos Norte. It reminds us how beautiful and rich our own unique culture and traditions are. We must always remember all these and pass them to the next generation.   Celebrating Christmas Amidst Covid-19 at Vigan City. Christmas is a joyous occasion for everyone, young and adult alike. We celebrate the festivities oftentimes with our loved ones. It is the time of the year that we get the chance to be with them and just the thought of it makes us excited. We commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ by attending Misa De Gallo that starts on the 16 th of December. St. Paul Cathedral is always placed with church goers, but during this time of pandemic we have to observe physical distancing inside the church as well as outside to avoid the spread of COVID-19 virus. Celebrating Christmas in Vigan during this time of pandemic is far different from how we used to. Christmas parties at public places is prohibited, we used to exchange gifts with our families, friends, and classmates but now during this time of COVID-19, we are not allowed to do so.
